Stone house restored in the village below the castle.
In the Abruzzo region of Italy, near the famous city of Sulmona, stone house (118 g.sqm) in an advanced stage of restructuring at the top of the historian village under the old castle with wonderful views of the entire Valle Peligna. The House has two main entrances with old-fashioned doors, a large living room with fireplace and kitchen precious on the first floor, bathroom with shower, two bedrooms and a wooden Gallery on the second floor. The ceilings are with brick vaults and wooden beams, floors have features rustic pottery, unique wood staircases connect the various levels; the external and internal fixtures are made from precious wood and double glazing in accordance with the criteria of energy-saving, mosquito nets and window grilles. The new double wooden roof is covered with old tiles and has a chimney in style. An external door leads into a small warehouse. ENERGY CLASS G, EPI > 800 kwh/sqm year (provisional). Near municipal car parks are present, some with terrace stunning views; just behind the House which allow hiking trails begin on the surrounding mountains. The village of Roccacasale has just under 800 inhabitants, is a 450 m asl in very sunny position and has a few shops, bars, restaurants, post office and municipal parking lots; by leaving paths different levels that allow excursions of varying difficulty and length the surrounding mountains of the Majella-Morrone National Park/woodland, plateaus, springs, mountain huts equipped besides interesting remains of ancient settlements. During the year but especially in summer are organized in the village cultural and recreational activities of interesting level. The nearby town of Sulmona is also reachable by bus in few minutes; using instead the car you arrive in 5 ' at the entrance "Pratola-Sulmona" A25, 40 ' airport of Pescara, the Adriatic beaches and the numerous ski resorts. Rome is at 90 ' (more than 2 hours by train or bus).
